Kids get hands-on experience with “Big Truck Day”

JACKSON, Tenn.-It was a special day for dozens of preschoolers in the Hub City, Thursday. Not only did they get to learn about big equipment, but they got to truly experience the big trucks, thanks to Thompson Machinery.

Workers from the company brought out three pieces of their Caterpillar equipment and let the kids climb, play and even honk the horns.

“They just learn so much. They absorb so much from doing this, getting to meet more people and getting to have people talk to them,” said Donna Agnew, executive director with “Hands Up!” Preschool.

“We see the need for us to come out and reach out to the community and help out and give back to people like Donna and “Hands Up!,” said David Griffin, with Thompson Machinery.

This is the second year that Thompson Machinery has participated in “Big Truck Day” with “Hands Up!”
