A new Miss Hatchie is crowned in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — A handful of ladies took to the stage of the performing arts center in Haywood County for the annual Miss Hatchie competition Sunday afternoon. Ladies from ages six to 21 were able to compete for this years crown. Annie Bond from Jackson was crowned the 2016 Miss Hatchie.

“It felt good being a part of the competition,” 2016 Miss Hatchie Annie Bond said. “It was kind of a last minute decision of mine and my mothers, and then just to come up here and do it was fun.”

This competition is a preliminary for the annaul strawberry festival competition. The Miss Hatchie winners will wear their crowns at the Hatchie Fall Fest this weekend.
