Lexington grabs second team of the week honors

LEXINGTON, Tenn — After losing two of their first their first three games, the Lexington Tigers regrouped and won their next four. This past Friday they took down Obion County 36-18, which would earn them week eight’s team of the week. With three games remaining, every game matters, region game or not. Head coach Bryant Hollingsworth weighs in on significance of each game.

“It’s huge, it’s huge when it comes to the region standings, you know you want to make sure you win all your ball games even the non region games because that can play a factor in the end,” said Hollingsworth.

After winning four straight, the Tigers will need to dig deep to finish strong, coach Hollingsworth explains what his team needs to do.

“The continued desire to be better, the continued desire to get better, the continued desire to work hard on a daily basis and take care of the little things,” said Hollingsworth.

This Friday the Tigers will look to grab their fifth win in a row when they get set to take on Westwood from Memphis.
