TBI investigating body found in Carroll County field

CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn. — The TBI has confirmed they are investigating after a body was found last week in a field in Carroll County.

Details are limited at this time, but the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirms the district attorney has asked them to investigate after a body was found Oct. 6 in a field.

The investigation is ongoing, and the body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Nashville, according to the TBI.

“Due to the condition of the body, identification is still pending by the medical examiner,” TBI Public Information Officer Susan Niland said in an emailed statement.
