Madison Co. Property Committee members discuss who gets athletic bleachers

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Madison County Property Committee met Friday morning to talk about where bleachers will go that currently sit on an old athletic field.

Committee members say the bleachers at the Old Hickory Football Field need to be used, so one pair went to a bidder.

The other two sets were split between the recreation department and the Jackson-Madison County School System.

“The North Side does not meet state standards, and those are the ones I’m saying, let’s give one to the recreation department and one to the school system,” Commissioner Gerry Neese said.

The full Madison County Commission will meet Monday night.
