Fallen Madison Co. firefighter honored at national service

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A fallen member of the Madison County Fire Department, Christopher Blankenship is honored in Maryland.

His family was on hand as he was recognized during the 35th annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.

The 41-year-old was killed last May when he was hit by a falling tree while responding to a call.

Also honored at the ceremony was 48-year-old Lt. Terrence Pryor of Memphis.
