Madison Co. couple celebrate 75 years of marriage

JACKSON, Tenn. — A Madison county couple seem to know the secret to decades of successful marriage.

On October 26th Dorothy and Phillip Dougan reached a milestone 75 years of marriage.

Sunday afternoon, their kids gathered a large group of family and friends to the old country store to celebrate their life and marriage together.

Family members say it was also like a mini family reunion with out of town relatives coming to the Hub city just for the celebration.

Madison county Mayor Jimmy Harris made a proclamation for the couple, dedicating October 26th as Dorothy and Phillip Dougan day.
