Carter Holt signs with Arkansas State
JACKSON, Tenn — Wednesday afternoon Jackson Christian pitcher Carter Holt inked the dotted line to become a member of the Arkansas State Red Wolves next year. But this didn’t come without hard work, on and off the field.
“I guess just a lot of times hard work off the field pays off,” Holt said. “Coach Cooper always pushed us in practice and I guess he told us if you want to be good, you got to work hard after practice too. So I guess just getting there early, staying late is why I guess it’s led to the performance on the field.”
On the diamond last season Holt tossed 82 innings and struck out 94 batters. He went 12-2 on the year and that helped him break the Eagles all time wins record.
