Weather Update – 10:30 p.m. Wednesday
Frost Advisories have been issued for most of Tennessee and nearby states. Counties in the advisory for West Tennessee include Benton, Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Fayette, Gibson, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Henry, Madison, McNairy, Obion, and Weakley. These counties will be in the advisory from 2 a.m. until 8 a.m. Thursday.
TONIGHT
Temperatures will drop to the middle and upper 30s by sunrise at 6:27 a.m. Thursday morning. Clear skies and light winds should allow frost to form before daybreak tomorrow. Bring those sensitive potted plants inside tonight!
TOMORROW
Plenty of sunshine is forecast to continue tomorrow with high pressure in place. This should bring temperatures up slightly from where they peaked today with highs in the middle to upper 60s.
Friday could be slightly warmer but it all depends when the second cold front arrives. The next cold front coming in before the end of the workweek will reinforce the cold air to cause temperatures to drop to the 30s again. Sunday morning will also host a chance for frost and near freezing temperatures.
Our next chance for rain returns on Tuesday, but is only a slight chance. After that, we may not see another significant chance for rain in West Tennessee until the end of next week. Stay with the VIPIR 7 Storm Team for the latest forecast!
Have a good evening!
