Charity dinner benefits African girls in need
BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — It was a night of giving and celebration in Brownsville as residents hosted a big dinner to raise money for little dresses.
The charity is Dresses for Africa, an international, nonprofit organization sending homemade pillowcase dresses to abused and orphaned girls in Africa.
Donators said it is important for them to share their blessings with those who are less fortunate.
“It makes my heart smile to know that a group of people come together, and we do things to help one another no matter what,” said event host, Shalondria Shaw.
