BREAKING: Dyersburg police: One dead, multiple injuries following shooting at birthday party
DYERSBURG, Tenn.-Dyersburg police are confirming at least one person has died and several have been injured, including a child following a shooting early Thursday evening in Dyersburg.
According to investigators with the Dyersburg Police Department, at least 7 people were injured during a shooting just before 6:30 p.m. during a child’s birthday party. At least one person, a 21-year old woman, died at the scene. A second victim, a 6-year old child was flown to a Memphis hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
Investigators say they are looking for at least 3 suspects who were believed to have fled by foot. The shooting is still under investigation.
