Sonic in Brownsville hosts toy drive to benefit Carl Perkins Center

HAYWOOD COUNTY, Tenn. — The Sonic Drive-In restaurant in Brownsville is doing something special to help a local organization.

brownsville-sonic-toy-driveAs you stop by to grab food, Sonic employees will be accepting unwrapped and unopened toys.

The toy drive will benefit the Haywood County Carl Perkins Center. If you donate, Sonic will reward you with a free Route 44 drink.

Organizers say they wanted to do a good deed this holiday season.

“We’re doing it to just give back our support,” Sonic manager Mia Zaleski said. “They show us so much support and so much love that we’re just trying to give back the support and love that they show us.”

You still have plenty of time to make a donation. The last day to bring toys will be Dec. 5.
