Jackson man charged with rape, false imprisonment

JACKSON, Tenn. — A man is facing charges after a woman told police he shoved her into her bedroom and raped her.

Tony Tyrone Cole is charged with rape, aggravated domestic assault and false imprisonment, according to court papers.

The victim also told investigators Cole strangled her and struck her in the face while preventing her from leaving her bedroom.

The alleged attack happened Nov. 15.

Cole is being held in lieu of $100,000 bond.
