Trenton man charged in Weakley Co. 4-wheeler thefts
WEAKLEY COUNTY, Tenn. — A Trenton man is facing burglary and theft charges after investigators say they linked him to two recent four-wheeler thefts.
James Russell Pipkin, 48, is charged with aggravated burglary and two counts of theft over $1,000, according to a release from the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies say the four-wheelers both were stolen within the last few weeks and later recovered at homes between Dyer and Dyersburg.
Pipkin was arrested Nov. 15 at his workplace in Martin. Officers say at the time of his arrest they recovered a gun stolen from a home on White Clay Road near Sharon. A second stolen gun was also recovered from his home, according to the release.
Pipkin is a convicted felon and also is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.
The investigation is ongoing, and Pipkin may face additional charges and more people may be charged, according to the release.
