Fundraiser set up for Pathways survivor
JACKSON, Tenn. — “Anytime there’s a crisis or something that happens to someone, it’s always comforting and helpful to know that there are others in the community that are thinking about them, that are praying for them, and that are wishing them the best,” says Beth Koffman, Vice President of Operations at The Foundation.
The tragedy that happened at Pathways this Thanksgiving, left a pregnant health care worker in critical condition. Even though, according to officials, the woman is alert at this time, and her unborn baby appears to be fine, she, as well as her family and friends continue to heal, asking their neighbors for help.
“We do know that there will be some needs for some ongoing recover and maybe family support and so that’s what the employees expressed interest in helping and so that’s what the money in this fund will be used for,” said Koffman.
Koffman is referring to the “Sunshine Fund,” which was started by the victim’s coworkers there at Pathways.
Koffman said the fund is not just accepting monetary donation, they are happy to receive cards and well wishes that can be passed along to the victim and her family.
One place you can make a donation to the “Sunshine Fund” is at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
