Union University Orchestra performs its third annual concert

JACKSON, Tenn.-The Union University Orchestra held its annual concert Thursday night.

The orchestra is comprised of 40 musicians, with about 60 people in attendance.
In order to join the orchestra, you do not have to be a music major at the school.
Students who played music in high school are allowed to join.

“The opportunity to play in front of an audience, hear the applause is very motivating and makes it feel very worthwhile for the work that they’re put in for this entire semester,” said Michael Mann, coordinator of Instrumental Music Education at Union University.

The orchestra has been in existence for just three years.
