Author talks about new Buford Pusser book
McNAIRY COUNTY, Tenn. — The writer who penned a new book about a West Tennessee legend stopped by WBBJ Friday to talk about his latest project.
Robert D. Broughton has written several stories about the life of Buford Pusser, the McNairy County sheriff whose service around Selmer was later turned into a TV series and a number of movies, some of which were shot here in West Tennessee.
The author told us about how his book can take readers back in time.
“You can read the articles, the newspaper articles, and you get a sense of what the people were reading at that time and how they were seeing things about Buford Pusser and his life,” Broughton said.
Broughton will host a book signing Saturday at the Buford Pusser Home and Museum in Adamsville.
