Man charged with coercion of witness

JACKSON, Tenn. — A man was officially charged Monday with coercing a witness.

Justin Jinks is accused of confronting the alleged victim of an assault he is accused of committing.

Court records say Jinks held the woman down, took her cell phone and forced her to write a note saying he did nothing wrong.

Jinks is scheduled to return to court Dec. 15.
