Humboldt man to appear on attempted murder charges

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — A suspect facing three counts of attempted first-degree murder has a preliminary hearing this week.

Louis Montrell Jenkins, of Humboldt, is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.

Humboldt police responded to a shooting Nov. 27 at an address on 20th Avenue. No one was injured.

Investigators say three people were in the home at the time of the shooting, one being an ex-girlfriend of Jenkins.

Jenkins’ hearing is scheduled for Wednesday morning in Humboldt.
