Union University holding Christmas music events to celebrate the season

JACKSON, Tenn.-Union University is holding two live Christmas music events to celebrate the holiday season.

One of them, the annual “A Union Christmas” celebration took place Tuesday night. The event included scripture readings, congregational singing and performances by the university choir’s cantilena, Voices of Proclamation and the University Singers.

“It’s gonna be really special to get to help people grow closer to God and just to entertain them for the night,” said Tatum Sheppard, a music major at Union University.

The music department will continue the tradition of the annual “Christmas Gift to the Community” concert, Wednesday morning at 10.
The event is free and open to the public and will take place in the G.M. Savage Memorial Chapel on the Union University campus.
