USJ’s Trey Smith commits to University of Tennessee

JACKSON, Tenn. — Trey Smith, a lineman at the University School of Jackson and one of the top varsity players in the nation, has chosen to attend the University of Tennessee after graduation.

Smith revealed his decision Tuesday afternoon during a ceremony at USJ.

Earlier this summer, Smith received the No. 1 ranking on the ESPN 300 board for high school football players.

Smith will enroll at Tennessee at the beginning of the second semester.
