Boy, girl killed in mobile home fire in Drummonds
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – Officials say a 2-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl have been killed in a mobile home fire in the Tipton County community of Drummonds.
According to WMC-TV (http://bit.ly/2gceJUv ), Atoka Fire Department Chief Henry Posey said firefighters arrived at the scene 13 minutes after receiving the 911 call Wednesday. Posey said the children’s mother and grandmother were outside the home when firefighters arrived.
The children’s mother, father, and grandfather were taken to a Memphis hospital with injuries that were not life threatening. Family members said the grandfather rushed into the house to save the children.
Investigators are working to find the cause of the fire.
