Hub City Santa House gets new lease on life

JACKSON, Tenn.-A Christmas tradition is restored for the people young and old here in the Hub City.

The Santa House in Jackson was a tradition for years before it fell into disrepair.
John Allen saw the old house in storage and remembered great Christmas memories as a kid and wanted to bring those memories to a new generation of kids and kids at heart.

Allen asked the city if he could restore it, which took several months of pain-staking re-fit work.

‘We want them to come up to the Santa House, go inside, sit with Santa, parents need to stay outside, and just have a little one-on-one, slow down for a little bit. When they get through, go over here and get a little hot chocolate,” said Allen, who restored the Santa House.

The Santa House will be open on East Lafayette Street in downtown Jackson all the way up to Christmas.
