Martin police investigate mobile home fire, gunshots in vehicle
MARTIN, Tenn. — Police are investigating after a Wednesday morning fire damaged a mobile home and someone fired shotgun rounds into a vehicle on Hyndsver Road.
Officers from the Martin Police Department along with the Martin Fire Department responded around 5:45 a.m. Wednesday to the 700 block of Hyndsver Road where a mobile home was on fire, according to a release from the Martin Police Department.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but the home sustained heavy damage.
A resident told police he heard gunshots just before finding the home was on fire and then found four shotgun rounds had been fired into the side of his vehicle.
Police saw areas on the driver’s side door that had been shot, according to the release.
