WBBJ to air ‘Smoky Mountains Rise’ telethon & concert Tuesday

JACKSON, Tenn. — Some of the biggest names in country music are coming together this week for a concert and telethon to benefit families who lost their homes and possessions during the East Tennessee wildfires, and you can see the show right here on WBBJ-TV.

smoky-mountains-rise-telethonWe will pre-emp regular programming from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday to carry “Smoky Mountains Rise: A Benefit for the My People Fund.”

Performers will include Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Kenny Rogers, Alison Krauss, Chris Young, Big & Rich, Amy Grant, Montgomery Gentry, Michael W. Smith, LOCASH and Chris Stapleton.

WBBJ is proud to support our neighbors across the state during their time of loss.

We will air the displaced ABC Prime programs later in the night and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
