Law enforcement officers from across West TN, honored
JACKSON, Tenn.-Law enforcement officers from across West Tennessee came together, Tuesday evening to honor hard work.
More than 30 awards were given out to officers for their hard work in traffic safety.
The director of the Tennessee Highway Safety Office said it is an important event, not just for the officers but for the community as well.
“It’s important that we reach out to the communities, it’s important that the communities know that our law enforcement is doing everything they possibly can for traffic safety and to protect the families that live in these communities,” said Vick Donoho, director of the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.
Awards ranged from the ‘Seat Belt Enforcement Award’ to ‘Speed Enforcement Award’.
The awards ceremony also honored Trooper, Deputy and Officer of the Year and two officers who went above the call of duty.
