Modern Woodmen of America donates $2,000 to Rusty Mac Adopt-A-Teen program
JACKSON, Tenn. — A local organization makes a donation to help local teens.
The Modern Woodmen of America donated $2,000 to help 20 teens in our area have a special Christmas.
The Rusty Mac Adopt-A-Teen program helps underprivileged teens. This year, there were more than 300 teens signed up for the program.
“To be able to give this money and know that 100 percent of that money is going to help underprivileged children in our community have a little brighter Christmas, it makes us feel just great,” said Brad Keltner with Modern Woodmen of America.
“It’s not about the stuff this money buys — it’s about teens knowing someone who doesn’t know them cares for them, and it does make a difference in their lives,” said Rita McCaslin with the Rusty Mac Adopt-A-Teen program.
As of Tuesday morning, there were 42 teens left to adopt. If you would like to donate, call 731-668-4000.
