Judge denies motions in Davis trial
JACKSON, Tenn.– A judge overseeing the Corbyn Davis trial denies several motions Tuesday.
Among those, the motion for a new trial, motion of verdict of acquittal, and shortening of the sentence.
Davis was handed a life sentence after his role in the 2014 shooting death of Jamar Rogers.
Davis was convicted of first degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm.
He was also sentenced to four years to be served consecutively for the weapons charge.
