Special committee forming to aid in the search for new supt. of JMC Schools
JACKSON, Tenn.-Members of the Jackson-Madison County School Board met Wednesday evening in the search for its next superintendent.
The Superintendent Advisory Committee is looking to create a special committee, made up of 12 people to help select a candidate for the job.
The target group for the 12 positions are teachers, parents, school staff and businesses owners in the community.
The board will approve the 12 people before proceedings continue.
‘The board wants to make sure that the entire community feels like it had a chance to give significant input, you know we want to find a great superintendent and we really value the opinions and insight that everyone in this community has,” said Bob Alvey, school board chairman.
The school board meets again next week.
