Crockett County murder trial set to begin Monday, delayed until Tuesday

CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn.-A delay in the trial for a suspect in the 2011 murder of an 89-year-old woman in Maury City.

Daniel Parker’s first degree murder trial was set to begin Monday, but has been delayed until Tuesday.
Judge Clayburn Peeples said it was because enough potential jurors failed to show up.
Parker is charged in the shooting death of Frances Lilley, who investigators said was shot through her back door.

The case is set to resume Tuesday at 9 a.m.
