Officers surround north Jackson home, take man into custody

JACKSON, Tenn. — Law enforcement vehicles lined the streets of a north Jackson neighborhood Tuesday evening as officers surrounded a home.

Numerous law enforcement officers and vehicles lined the street around 6 p.m. in the area of Charjean Drive off North Highland Avenue.

WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News was on scene when officers took a man into custody. SWAT officers also arrived on scene.

We later learned it was a domestic situation in which a man had barricaded himself inside a home.

Officers were able to talk to the man and take him into custody without using force.
