Man charged with stealing from mailbox at local business

JACKSON, Tenn. — A suspect arrested Thursday in north Jackson appeared Friday in City Court.

Cornelius Broughton is charged with taking mail from Blue Hawaiian Pools on Northstar Drive, according to court documents.

At least one check worth almost $200 was missing from an opened envelope.

Broughton also faces a count of evading arrest.
