Driver hits utility pole in Milan, temporarily knocks out power

MILAN, Tenn. — Police in Milan say a woman walked away unhurt after driving into a telephone pole Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the driver of a BMW was getting a drink of water when she hit the telephone pole off Main and McKellar streets.

Utility workers repaired the pole in a little over an hour. Officials say around 200 people were without power until the pole was fixed.
