Beat the heat at local Jackson swimming pool

JACKSON, Tenn. — The T.R. White Sportsplex invites the community to come out and use their pool.  It is open Monday through Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. But if you want to take advantage of this pool, you don’t have much time left.

“It’s winding down,” Terry Smith, director of the T.R. White Sportsplex, said. “We probably got another two weeks of pool time left, and it’s open to the public. They can come out and just enjoy a cool evening in the pool.”

This year, they do have a new rule for anyone wanting to swim — you must sign in. And if you want to swim in the deep end, you must wear a wristband so the lifeguards know you can swim.

One lifeguard says it’s just a place to come and relax.

“It’s fun to come here, relax, cool down, take time off.  Whatever you wanna do,” Ryan Ezelle, a lifeguard at T.R. White Sportsplex, said.

It only costs community members $1 to get in to swim.
