Al Chymia Shrine Circus comes to Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn —  A family fun event to kick off your Friday and the rest of your weekend, guaranteed to bring out the kid in us all. A large crowd filled the Oman Arena for the Al Chymia Shrine Circus, the first time it has ever been brought to Jackson.

“It’s a big event. It’s a big draw for Jackson. We got a lot of people coming. We want to make this an annual event so [we need] as many people as possible to come out,” David Vince with the Jackson Shrine Club said.

The Jackson Shrine Club along with the Al Chymia Temple of Memphis partnered to host the fun attraction. “It’s a G rating. Everybody can have a fantastic time,” Vince said.

From elephant rides to animals jumping through hoops, there’s something for everyone.

“A lady that can pull an arrow with her feet and pop a balloon,” Vince said. “Absolutely incredible.”

Many attendees watched in amazement as the circus crew pulled off cool stunts you do not get to see everyday. All funds raised will go towards the organization.

“The proceeds are going to the Al Chymia Shrine and it’s $10 for children and $15 for adults,” Vince said.

Organizers said if enough people come out to support the Shrine circus, be ready to see it back again next year.

If you missed Friday night’s show don’t worry, there will be three shows on Saturday and two on Sunday.
