Police investigating assault at east Jackson store

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson police are investigating a report of an assault at an east Jackson grocery store.

Police responded a report of an employee threatening another employee with a knife at Food Rite on East Chester Street.

Police confirmed the suspect involved in the threat was an employee who was being terminated.

No injuries were reported.

Police have not confirmed a description of the suspect, and no one is in custody.
