Man charged in deadly Madison Co. wreck to go to trial in March

JACKSON, Tenn. — A man charged in a deadly wreck in Madison County will go to trial in early 2018.

Zachery Damron appeared Monday in Madison County Circuit Court on multiple counts including vehicular homicide and DUI.

Madison County Circuit Court Judge Don Allen set Damron’s trial for March 21 and 22. He also denied a request to reduce Damron’s $200,000 bond.

Damron is charged in connection with a deadly wreck on Browns Church Road in March 2017.

“This is a case that we absolutely are going to trial and absolutely look forward to presenting his case to a jury,” Mark Donahoe, Damron’s attorney, said.

Deputies said 22-year-old Katie Gordon was killed in the crash. Authorities said Damron was behind the wheel.
