Man facing human trafficking, drug counts to go to trial in February
JACKSON, Tenn. — A man accused of human trafficking will go to trial in early 2018.
Randall Ward appeared Monday in Madison County Circuit Court. He faces multiple counts including cocaine possession, drug paraphernalia, violating the sex offender registry, plus trafficking for commercial sex acts and promoting prostitution.
“Mr. Ward has several cases that he’s in custody on,” Madison County Circuit Court Judge Don Allen said.
Allen said Ward will go to trial Feb. 13 for the drug charges. He set a trial date of Feb. 15 for the remaining counts. “I’ll ask the clerk’s office to go ahead and issue the subpoenas for those trial dates,” Allen said.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said a grand jury indicted Ward, also known as T-Bone, on the human trafficking counts in October.
Ward is scheduled to return to court Jan. 22. The judge said that is the last day to enter a plea.
