Alabama man charged with arson in Hardin Co. barn fire

HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — An Alabama man has been charged with arson in an October barn fire in Savannah.

Bradley Dale Balentine, 30, of Waterloo, Ala., is charged with arson in the fire that occurred on Halloween in the 2000 block of Fox Hollow Loop in Savannah, according to a release from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Special agents with the TBI and the Tennessee Fire Investigation Service began investigating the fire Oct. 31. During their investigation, agents determined Balentine intentionally set fire to a barn containing around 175 rolls of hay, according to the release.

Balentine is being held in the Hardin County Jail awaiting arraignment.
