Local residents save duck frozen to surface of Jackson pond

JACKSON, Tenn. — When a duck was found frozen to the surface of a pond Tuesday morning in Jackson, local residents came to the rescue.

The duck was stuck to the surface of a pond off South Highland Avenue near Perry Switch Road in south Jackson.

After about four hours of effort, the good Samaritans used a pole to reach the duck and bring it to shore.
