James “Jim” Holman
Funeral services for James “Jim” Holman, 93, will be held at 2pm Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Trenton, TN with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11am until 2pmSaturday at the Church.
Mr. Holman had an avid love of the outdoors and rabbit hunting, he also had a profound love for the service to his county, having served in the US Army in WWII as an MP with Co. B, 735 Military Police Bn, stationed in London, England. He then farmed in Crosbyton, TX and later retired from Ben Franklin Dept. Store in Trenton, TN. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Trenton, TN.
He is survived by a daughter, Ceil Moore and husband Bob; two sons, Randy Holman and wife Martha, and Kyle Holman and wife Linda; seven grandchildren, Josh Richardson and wife Kayla, Elizabeth Holman Rivers and husband Brian, Jordan Richardson, Joseph Moore and wife Katie, Jim Holman and wife Alicia, Jacqueline Holman Phillips, and Jake Holman; four great grandchildren, Emma Rivers, Landon Richardson, Nate Holman Phillips, and Trace Moore; and a special friend, Dot Kilzer.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Margie Work Holman; his second wife, Corrine Wade Holman; a brother, Robert S. Holman; and a sister, Margaret Holman Poyner.
