Victim shot in attempted armed robbery at Bolivar family restaurant

BOLIVAR, Tenn.– Police surrounded a family-owned restaurant after reports of a robbery and shooting Tuesday night.

Bolivar Police Chief Pat Baker says a suspect entered the rear door of El Ranchitos and a shot was fired around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Baker says a person was shot. There are no details on the victim’s condition.

Bolivar Police are using K-9 officers and Tennessee Highway Patrol helicopters to attempt to locate the suspect.
