Man charged with having gun in Lane College dorm room

JACKSON, Tenn. — A man accused having bringing a gun on campus at Lane College appeared Monday in Jackson City Court.

Corey Brown Jr. is charged with carrying a weapon on school property.

Police say a Lane College security officer found a firearm Friday in Brown’s dorm room.

Brown is currently free on bond. He is due back in court April 19.
