Cheatham County woman charged with first degree murder

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. — An Ashland City woman has been arrested in connection with her mother’s death in 2010.

According to a news release from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Patsy Lynn Shelby was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree murder.

The release says Savannah police found 80-year-old Otylier Callens’ body in her Ryan Street home on Sept. 8, 2010.

The release says investigators developed information indicating that Shelby, 67, was responsible for her mother’s death.

Investigators say additional arrests are anticipated, and the investigation is still ongoing.
