TBI Top 10 fugitive captured, charged in shooting death of woman, unborn child
LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Tenn. — A homicide suspect added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Top 10 Most Wanted in August has been captured.
Sequna Copeland, 29, was captured Friday in Ripley, according to a news release from the TBI.
Copeland is a suspect in the June 15 shooting death of 27-year-old Jessica Hunt and her unborn child. Her body was found along Berry Morrow Road in Henning.
On Monday, the Lauderdale County grand jury returned indictments charging Copeland with multiple counts including two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of felony first-degree murder, and one count of especially aggravated kidnapping, according to the release.
Copeland was transported to the Lauderdale County Jail where he is being held in lieu of $1 million bond.
