Mrs. Rose Arlin New

Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Arlin New, age 75, will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 11, 2018, in the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with William Harrell officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. New passed away October 6, 2018, in Jackson, Tennessee. She was born March 29, 1943, in Jackson, Tennessee to the late Seborn and Rose Stout Hathcote.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Brenda Lawyer, Linda Maples, and Lessie Scott; brother, Junior Hathcote.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Everett New; sons, Johnny Warner, Michael Fortune, and Floyd Fortune (Misty); step-daughters, Elaine Morris (Travis) and Stephanie New; sisters, Betty Joe McCord (Frank), Phyllis Mayben, Martha Caroll (Fred), and Ruth Quick (Curtis); eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers for the service will be Tyler Page, Dylan Jobe, Harley George, Curtis Byrum, Bill Byrum, Robert Fortune, Floyd Fortune, Michael Fortune, and Johnny Warner.

Visitation for Mrs. New will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2018, 4-7 pm at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home.
