Travelers make their way back home after the Thanksgiving holiday
JACKSON, Tenn– After the Thanksgiving holiday many are making their way back home, and for some that is hundreds of miles away. Many make quick stops at rest areas, to take a break.
Some stopped at the Huntersville rest area after driving over 4 hours.
“So yeah I’m tired, drink a lot of caffeine when I drive,” said Travelers.
Many of the travelers say driving in the Tennessee area during the holiday wasn’t any trouble at all. In fact, it was surprisingly light.
“Now I have a little bit of construction traffic but its not been horrible,” said Travelers.
They also say driving long distances to see their family for the holiday is worth it.
“The holiday was solid, really good, I got to hang out with old friends in Lexington and eat a lot of food, yeah I enjoyed it, it was good to see my family and friends, it was nice its always good to see the extended family and everything, yea we had a really good time,” said Travelers.
