Crews respond to deadly house fire in Gibson County

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Fire officials have confirmed a person was killed in a Thursday afternoon house fire north of Milan.

Gibson County Fire Chief Bryan Cathey confirms one fatality in the fire at a Salem Street home. The person’s identity has not been released.

Crews responded to the fire just after 1 p.m. Fire officials confirm at 9p.m. Thursday, the same home reignited in flames due to residual embers. As of 9:40 Thursday night, fire crews were still on scene battling the flames.
