TWRA: Deer killed in Chester Co. negative for chronic wasting disease

CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. — A deer found last month in a Chester County man’s yard has tested negative for chronic wasting disease.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency confirmed the test results Wednesday.

The deer did show signs similar to the effects of CWD. See the earlier story here.

TWRA officials say the cause of the deer’s behavior is not known.
