Savannah, Halls receive state grant for industrial development
SAVANNAH, Tenn. — Two West Tennessee towns have received grants to improve industrial sites and invest in infrastructure and improvements.

Savannah and Halls were two of nine Tennessee towns to receive the site development grants from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.
According to a news release, Halls will receive $100,000 for the Highway 209 Industrial Site for due diligence studies, master plan and rail feasibility study. The release says Savannah will receive $66,500 for due diligence studies at the Savannah-Hardin County Industrial Site.
The Site Development Grant program is part of the Rural Economic Opportunity Act, which has been supported by the Tennessee General Assembly for the last three years, according to the release.
